Golf Carts Gozzer Ranch

Gozzer Ranch

Golf Cart Sales, Custom Builds and Service for Gozzer Ranch, Harrison

Most golf carts at Gozzer sit still for nine months and then have to work perfectly on the day the family arrives. That is the job, and it is not the same job as a cart that lives somewhere year round.

Amped Up Carts sells, builds and services golf carts for Gozzer Ranch and the wider Harrison area. We are in Post Falls, the better part of an hour away via I-90 and Highway 97 down the east shore, and we pick up and deliver. You do not need to be in Idaho when we come.

Set for arrival

Ready on Arrival Day

This is the part that separates Gozzer from almost anywhere else we work.

Plenty of members fly into Spokane or Coeur d’Alene, drive down, and expect the house open and the cart running. Nobody wants to spend the first afternoon of a two week stay figuring out why the pack will not hold charge. And because we are the better part of an hour away rather than fifteen minutes, a dead golf cart on a Friday in July is not a same day fix.

So we work backwards from your arrival date. Tell us when you are coming and we schedule the cart before it, not after. Battery checked, brakes adjusted, tires up, everything that stiffened over winter freed off. If something needs a part, we find out in May rather than on the day you land.

For members who let their place out or who arrive at short notice, we can hold a standing spring slot so it happens whether you remember to call or not.

Golf Cart

Two Kinds of Golf Cart at Gozzer

Gozzer covers around 700 acres with roughly 370 residences, and the way people use a cart depends entirely on where in that they live.

Cottages and cabins

The 28 cottages sit within walking distance of the clubhouse, practice facility and the Red Barn, and the 32 cabins run along the first and eighteenth holes. Cart trips here are short and frequent. Down to the Barn with the kids, over to the pool, across to the clubhouse for dinner. A four seater with good lighting and a clean turning circle does everything you need. Range is almost irrelevant.

Estate homesites

The 267 estate parcels run from half an acre to five acres and spread across the plateau. Now you are covering real ground several times a day, often with people and gear aboard, and often finishing with a climb back up from the water. Six seats, a bigger lithium pack and better brakes start making sense.

This is where money gets wasted. A cottage owner ends up with a lifted six seater that never carries six, or an estate owner buys something compact and finds it flat by dinner. Tell us where you sit on the property and we will point you at the right size.

For Sale

Carts for Sale

We sell new golf carts and finished custom builds on Evolution, ICON EV and STAR EV platforms, set up before delivery rather than after.

For Gozzer that usually means deciding three things up front: how many seats you actually need, whether the cart is doing marina runs, and how much of the year it will sit. The third one drives the battery choice more than most people expect.

Golf Cart

Already Own a Golf Cart?

Bring it to us before you replace it. Plenty of golf carts at Gozzer are fine machines that were specified for flat ground, and a battery and brake package fixes them for a fraction of a new build. Sometimes the honest answer is that the cart has done its time. We will tell you which one you are looking at.

Build Costs

What a Build Costs

We set out how custom work is priced in the Inland Northwest in this pricing guide. A build specified for Gozzer usually lands in the upper half of that range, driven by seating and battery capacity rather than anything cosmetic.

No two builds are priced the same, so we quote each one on its own. Describe the way the cart will be used and we can put a figure to it while you are still on the phone. A written breakdown of parts and labor follows before anything gets ordered.

Upgrades

Builds and Upgrades

The single upgrade that matters most for a cart that sits for most of the year and then works hard. Holds voltage on the climb, sheds weight, and survives long storage in a way lead acid does not. More on lithium conversions

Rear flip seats and full six seat builds, in upholstery that copes with wet swimsuits and a dog. Worth pairing with a look at springs and brakes if the cart is doing the marina climb loaded. More on custom seating

Tire choice at Gozzer depends on whether the cart ever goes on the course. Read the next section before deciding. More on wheel and tire packages

The Red Barn and the clubhouse both empty after dark, and estate lanes are unlit. Lighting is a safety item here more than a styling one, particularly if teenagers are driving.

Outdoor Pursuits gear, paddleboards, coolers, towels, fishing kit. Rear boxes and cargo decks get used hard at Gozzer.

Shoulder season on the plateau is colder and windier than the lake below suggests. An enclosure extends the season at both ends.

Course or Community

Course Golf Carts and Community Golf Carts

Worth settling before you spend money, because the two are rarely the same vehicle.

Every club writes its own policy, but the requirements land in much the same place. Your cart gets registered with the golf shop, you pay a trail fee for the season, you show proof of liability cover, and it runs on turf tires that will not bruise a green. Appearance standards are common too, usually pushing private carts to look close to the club fleet, and seating is sometimes capped.

That works directly against a good community cart. Six seats, cargo racks and a lift are exactly right for hauling a family and gear across a five acre estate lot. They are also the specification most likely to be refused at the golf shop.

So the choice is a course legal cart on turf tires at standard height, a community cart built for the plateau and the marina, or two carts, which is more common at Gozzer than people expect given the size of the estates.

We build to any of these. Confirm the current requirements with the Gozzer golf shop before ordering, because clubs revise these rules and theirs is the only version that counts.

Lithium in a Cart

Lithium in a Cart That Sits Nine Months

Gozzer is a summer community, and that changes what the right battery is.

A lead acid pack left through an Idaho winter will sulfate quietly and often will not come back. Owners discover this on arrival day, which is the worst possible time. Lithium tolerates long idle periods far better, which is most of the argument for it here, ahead of the weight saving and the performance.

Cold itself is not the problem. Charging a cold pack is. A decent lithium battery includes management that refuses to charge until the cells are warm enough. Some packs leave that out, which is worth knowing before you buy on price alone.

The right way to leave one is under cover, somewhere in the region of half charge, and unplugged. Leaving a cart on a charger from October to May does more harm than good. We take care of this at the fall visit and undo it in spring, so the cart is sorted before you think about it.

Fleet Golf Carts

Fleet Golf Carts and Property Managers

Between the club, the rental side and the caretakers who look after houses for absent owners, a fair number of golf carts at Gozzer are managed by somebody other than the owner.

That is a different service relationship. It works on scheduled visits, spare parts held ready, and one point of contact who knows which cart belongs to which house. If you look after several carts at Gozzer, call us and we will build a schedule around your season rather than quoting job by job.

Our Process

How We Work With Gozzer Members

Gozzer is a Discovery Land Company property, and anyone who has spent a season there knows the standard that comes with it. We try to work the same way.

We are a build shop rather than a sales lot. There is no forecourt to wander around, which suits this kind of work, because the interesting decisions are about how a golf cart will actually be used rather than which one happens to be parked out front. Everything starts with a conversation, and those are by appointment so you get proper attention instead of fifteen minutes between walk-ins.

A few things members here tend to care about.

You deal with the same person from the first call through to handover, and they know which golf cart belongs to which house. That matters more than it sounds when you are arranging things from another state. Collection and delivery are scheduled to the property, and if a caretaker or property manager holds the keys we work with them and keep you copied rather than chasing you for access.

Discretion is part of it too. Amped Up Carts does not publish customer names, property locations or photographs of anyone’s home. When we photograph a finished build it is the golf cart, not where it lives. Nobody at Gozzer needs their address in our marketing.

Quotes come in writing, itemized, with parts separated from labor, sent before anything is ordered. No verbal figure that drifts by the time the invoice arrives.

East Shore

Harrison and the East Shore

We cover Gozzer Ranch, the town of Harrison, and the properties along the east shore of Lake Coeur d’Alene reached from Highway 97, including Carlin Bay and the smaller bays south of it.

There is a lot of lakefront around Harrison with no club attached to it, and those owners face the same set of problems. The house is empty for long stretches, the ground falls away sharply toward the water, and the cart has to wake up on demand.

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. We pick up and deliver to Gozzer Ranch and the Harrison area from our Post Falls shop, about an hour away by I-90 and Highway 97. We run the east shore on scheduled days, so give us a little notice and you do not need to be there when we come.

About an hour from Post Falls, down the east side of the lake. Because of the distance we batch our east shore work rather than making single trips, which is why booking ahead makes a real difference in summer.

That is how we prefer to schedule seasonal work. Send us your arrival date and we will get battery, brakes, tires and a road test done ahead of it, so nothing turns up on the day you land.

It depends where you are on the property. Cottage and cabin owners near the clubhouse do short frequent trips and rarely need more than four seats. Estate owners on the larger parcels cover much more ground, often loaded, and usually want six seats and a bigger battery.

In most cases no. Lifts and aggressive tread are what club policies are written to keep off the turf, and private carts normally also need to be registered with the golf shop, covered by insurance and on a paid trail fee. The Gozzer golf shop holds the current version of those rules. Once you know what they require, we can build either a course legal cart or a community one.

More so than for a cart used year round. Lead acid left through an Idaho winter often will not come back, and owners find out on arrival day. Lithium handles long idle periods far better, which at Gozzer is the main argument for it.

Smaller jobs, yes. Anything involving the battery pack, motor, controller or bodywork comes back to the Post Falls shop, which is another reason we like to know about problems before high season.

Yes. On a lithium build with a modern controller it is straightforward, and we can set up seat belts, lighting and mirrors at the same time. Plenty of families at Gozzer ask for this.

It comes down to top speed. Anything under 20 mph is a golf cart in Idaho’s eyes, which the state will not register, leaving it dependent on whether Harrison or Kootenai County has an ordinance permitting it on a given road. Build past 20 mph to low speed vehicle standard and the picture changes: the state will title and register it, and it can then use roads posted 35 mph or below. We build to that standard and hand over the specifications for the DMV.

We handle winterization in fall, which covers charging the pack correctly, protecting the cart and setting it up to survive a long idle period. Book it before you leave for the season.

Yes. Managing several carts works better on a schedule than job by job. Call us and we will build one around your season.

Swapping a battery or reworking seating is measured in days. Anything involving panels, paint and a full interior is measured in weeks, and parts lead times can stretch that. Start in winter and the golf cart is waiting in June. Start in June and it will not be.

Tell Us Your Dates

The easiest way to work with Amped Up Carts at Gozzer is to tell us when you will be there. We will schedule around it, and the cart will be ready when you walk in.
